heh - youd think that someone would get server stability right at some point in this market.

Guild Wars Service Update 29 April 2005

We apologize for the technical issue that is affecting gameplay and accessibility. The data center is experiencing network issues. We are working with our service providers to find a prompt solution, and very much appreciate your patience as we resolve this matter.

Please... If server stabillity became the norm, we'd never have use for forums like these. In addition, everytime a new MMORPG came out we'd have nothing to compare to...
"Remember the WoW release back in '04? Man, that was a killer." etc, etc

I just hope they get this fixed soon. Just bought the game today and looks like it's going to be pretty good............................once all the issues are worked out

So can somebody explain this to me......

Anybody who has played an MMO at launch time knows full well there will be bugs, network issues and downtime. This we come to accept as part of the process. We buy the game, sit at work all day lookin at the shiny new box dreaming of the treasures hidden within. We race home, install the game and erm.... watch a login progress bar that never moves

Why do we do it to ourselves, is there something in the genetic make up of the mmo player that states we have to take a masochistic apporoach to our hobby and suffer every time a new game is released.......

Lets all admit it, we enjoy the pain, anyone want to form a support group

people wont be happy unless they could whine about the login issues on a new mmo.
